Review for Park Hall Gym (as of July 2025) I’ve been a member of Park Hall Gym since October 2024, and while there are some fantastic aspects, there are also major concerns that need to be addressed. First, the positives: the staff on the ground — Kirsty, Ollie, Mercia, and Mike — are genuinely brilliant. They go above and beyond to support members, run great classes, and keep things running as smoothly as possible, even under significant pressure. Unfortunately, the gym has taken a noticeable turn for the worse under the new management. Communication is poor, changes are often made with little explanation, and the overall tone from leadership has been rude and dismissive. There was a promised spa facility that members have been waiting on for over 10 months, with no visible progress or clear updates. Hygiene and safety are also a growing concern. The pool frequently has an unpleasant sewage-like smell, and there have been disturbing incidents involving men looking into the women’s changing rooms — an issue that deserves immediate and serious attention. Another serious issue is the way staff are treated. It’s not acceptable for the same people who are teaching fitness classes to also be expected to manage reception, deal with member concerns, clean, and supervise the pool — all at once. It’s neither humane nor sustainable and reflects poor staffing decisions. Overall, while the gym has dedicated and hardworking team members, the management and facility issues significantly impact the experience. Until these concerns are addressed, I can’t recommend Park Hall to others in good faith.

Update: As I’m not able to reply directly to the team’s response Thank you for your response. I appreciate the apology, but unfortunately it does not resolve the main issue. The problems I experienced during my stay including no air conditioning, a broken door lock, a non-working phone, poor communication, and no manager available had a serious impact on my stay. I also had to chase everything myself with no support at the time. This situation deserves more than just an apology. I am requesting appropriate compensation or a refund. I also ask that your team respond to my email and answer the phone when I call, as I have already tried reaching out with no response. Thank you. Extremely disappointing stay. Poor service, no follow-up, and no accountability. I had a very frustrating experience at Park Hall Hotel and Spa Wolverhampton. Upon arrival, we were told there was no lift, but staff offered to bring our luggage to the room. After waiting over 20 minutes, nothing arrived. We tried calling reception, but the room phone didn’t work, so we had to use a mobile phone to follow up. The room had several issues: broken air conditioning, a door that wouldn’t lock, and the phone didn’t work. When we reported everything, the staff said they would “take care of it” and then hung up. No one followed up. After waiting an hour and calling again, we were finally told the air conditioning wasn’t working at all and we needed to change rooms. However, no triple rooms were available, only two doubles. After complaining again, we were told a manager would contact us. Later, we found out there was no manager available that day, and still, no one followed up afterward. Even after I tried to reach out myself, I never received any phone call or email from the hotel. To make things worse, loud noise from an event at the hotel continued past midnight. There was no communication, no apology, and no effort to manage the disturbance. Overall, the service was extremely poor. No responsibility was taken, communication was terrible, and at £100 a night, this was absolutely not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Second stay here. First stay wasn't too bad at all. Nice view. Decent enough room. Second stay, not so good. Fridge doesn't work. Windows don't open wide enough. Room is smaller than what we had before even though we paid the same price. The staff did try to help though. The view we had wasn't good. You had to pull the curtains if you wanted to get dressed. It was cramped and not comfortable. And loud. Staff kept accidentally walking into our room, so having a locked door is a good plan. Maybe it is worth it for the spa, which we didn't use, and not much vegetarian choice for breakfast.
