I go to Elba once a year, it is a close place to Lucca for a short break. Hotel Napoleone is my choice for each visit since I found it. Perfect location, old style service with a smile. It's often fully booked for a good reason. If I could leave 10* I would. See you again in 2025. Visiting in 2025, Booking.com had made a mess of my reservation, this was quickly and efficiently corrected by Jessica the manager and Irene on reception. This is still my go to hotel on Elba but next time I might book directly to avoid issues.

If you have a car in Elba, i would strongly recommend to book this place! It's not by the beach but rather in the mountains. Such a cozy place. The chateau/mansion was big and looked so beautiful from the outside. It was a calm place with a restaurant and bar, it felt a bit like the shining with the bar (a bit creepy). Pool was OK too, took a swim in the afternoon. Parking is free. Staff is kind. Room was small but had all you needed. Next time if i'm in Elba, i would like to come back!

Absolutely not recommended. We stayed one night at Park Hotel Napoleone – 4-Star Hotel on Elba Island (Via di S. Martino, 58, 57037 San Martino LI), and the experience was nothing short of unacceptable. Upon arrival, we were greeted rudely and unprofessionally. The hotel appeared visibly dirty and neglected, bordering on unhygienic. During the night, we discovered mouse droppings in the room. When we immediately reported this to the staff, we were met with arrogance and rudeness, and were even mocked and the seriousness of the situation downplayed. Moreover, the mosquito screens were covered in pigeon droppings and feathers, and the room smelled stale, musty, and suffocating. Calling the environment “unsanitary” is an understatement. A hotel with such irresponsible management and disgraceful customer service should not even be allowed to call itself a “hotel.” We will never return, and we strongly advise against staying here if you care about your health and dignity.
