Park Hotel Porto Istana

Park Hotel Porto Istana is an excellent location to relax and to enjoy the perfect service, a beautiful environment of the park, a crystal-clear water of Porto Istana and amazing sea views. The park has direct entry to the beach, separate cottages to stay and large, well-designed swimming pool. Incredibly tasty and healthy food, with every day a new, very special menu consisted of breakfast, a three-course lunch and three-course evening dinner. Really great opportunity to get to know national dishes of Sardinia! Every dish was made and presented according to ‘haute cuisine’. Special thanks to very friendly and helpfull staff of the hotel, who made our stay a real pleasure!

It's a nice resort, managed by Veratour. In high season check in is pretty much slow and you should probably wait hours before your room is ready, tidy and clean. The place is located just in front of a protected marine area, namely the Tavolara's which is worth a visit. The sea is crystal clear and beautiful though the beach is not as white as you could hope for, anytime you think of Sardinia. The location is windy so if you don't like too much "air" 😉 this is not the place for you. Inside the village there's a nice pool with salty water. Food at meals is abundant and variety is good enough, though the quality is not always top, yet it's reasonably acceptable. Inside the structure there's a crew of young and motivated people to animate your staying and, it's a great deal! Yes, it might be worth a vacation though I'd rate it 3 stars as I think it has great unexpress potential that need to be developed.
