Park House Hotel

The Park House Hotel in Galway lived up to its 4-star rating. The room was spacious, comfortable, and updated. The service was friendly and helpful. The food and service at breakfast was terrific. The location of the hotel, just outside the busy tourist area, but close enough to walk to everything, was outstanding. We were able to park our car in their private and secure lot adjacent to the hotel. The outside, lobby, bar, and restaurant area were all classic and tasteful. I couldn't recommend it more highly if you are going to Galway.

We booked the restaurant for a Christening. Everything was so relaxed and stress free. I was really impressed with the service received, the food, the great menu choice and the relaxed atmosphere. The prices were reasonably too. Would definitely recommend to others.

We are thoroughly disappointed with our stay at the Park House Hotel. On our first night, we entered our room only to be greeted by a strong mildew smell that was so overwhelming, it made all our bags and clothing reek. It was simply rancid! To add insult to injury, the floors were wet and extremely dirty. After sitting down for just a moment to put on my shoes, I ended up with marks of dust and dirt on me. The room was also unbearably hot, and despite our efforts, it wouldn’t cool down at all. The bed was uncomfortably hard, and the pillows felt like bricks. To top it all off, the shower didn’t even have a shower head! We brought all of these issues to the attention of the hotel staff, but unfortunately, they were not understanding at all. While they moved us to another room, they mentioned that previous guests hadn’t complained about that room, which felt dismissive. They also refused to offer any discount or compensation for the awful experience we endured. Overall, this was incredibly disappointing. I highly recommend not staying at this hotel. They advertise it as being much nicer than it truly is. Don’t be fooled!
