I had an amazing dining experience. The food was well served and perfectly cooked. We were served by Ms. Jung Ha Yun and we were very pleased with the service quality. As we requested we had a table with ocean view and it was absolutely beautiful!
Park Hyatt Busan is a beautiful hotel located next to a marina with gorgeous views! South Korea is our 3rd & last trip destination in celebrating our anniversary. We had looked forward to our stay here with excitement! Our 3 nights stay started on a high note but didn’t quite end the same (nothing really bad, just didn’t match the same standard given at the end as the start). The hotel staff was kind to prepare us some nice treats to celebrate our anniversary which we appreciate. Overall the stay was good but 2 incidents gave us some unflattering experiences. One was due to a water leak from the bathtub which we emailed the staff about the following morning but we didn’t get any responses until the next day when we were checking out already. We didn’t call immediately as it was quicker to soak up the water myself with bath towels and lessen the damage then to wait for room service to come which may be delayed as my next incident would prove. The 2nd incident involved my young child who vomited right outside of the toilet. I called to request room service for clean up but it took over an hour. I decided to clean the mess myself as the smell was too much to bear. These 2 unfortunate incidents are reasons I didn’t give this hotel a higher rating. Pity as to hotel itself is gorgeous and has amazing views which we enjoyed very much. Breakfast experience was also good. But to have a complete 5 star experience, I believe everything has to work seamlessly and unfortunately in our experience, it didn’t happen.
Facilities and staff are nice in general, but annoying and dogmatic rules ruined our stay. - Gym is only open until 10pm, which is ridiculously short, esp for people on a tight schedule or business - many other Hotels have extended hours - Pool can only be used with swimming caps, which need to be purchased in the hotel - While the staff in the pool and spa area is very petty (e.g., strictly control that people to enter the pool are showered), they allow the whirlpool and pool area getting flooded with children and do not intervene to keep a calm environment - something I would expect from a Park Hyatt hotel! Further points that should be known upfront: - No outside pool available, which would have been a great addition in the summer - Area is not ideal, neither on the beach nor a direct business/spot with restaurants nearby.
