Park Hyatt New York

Wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was amazing: from housekeeping, to the restaurant, to the concierge. everyone was helpful, professional and well-trained in their specific subject areas. The hotel itself is situated very conveniently close to Central Park - easy to walk to multiple museums and attractions. The rooms for the most part were quiet. the beds are very comfortable! While the hotel feels oriented toward business travel I feel like the staff went out of their way to make our family feel welcome and to receive the same level of service as they would show a business Traveler, and as one expects from a Park Hyatt. The concierge staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. The restaurant staff made breakfast wonderful every day! Try the waffle...it is delicious!

I stayed for 6 nights at the end of July 2025 in the one bedroom city view suite. The location is perfect, a short walk to central park, multiple subway lines, and 5th avenue shopping. I could hop on the subway and be in the theatre district in 5 min, SoHo in 20 min. The hotel is modern, understated elegance with a peaceful zen vibe. The room was simply amazing, well designed and high tech. The staff and room service were superb. I didn't want to leave and will be back. Regarding prior reviews about the noise, the hotel is located in a busy part of midtown Manhattan, so there is some low level ambient street noise that is typical for NYC. I'm a light sleeper, and it didn't bother me at all. Floor to ceiling glass windows increase the noise level a bit but add to the openness with the surroundings. I've stayed at the Ritz-Carlton central park south that is extremely quiet but has small windows and is rather dingy and dated with an uncomfortable room.

Room was very clean and the layout was nice. Bathroom was spacious with both shower and tub. Shower had amazing water pressure! Amenities were high end. Location was very convenient as well. Staff were courteous and friendly. Housekeeping quality was excellent. Three things could improve. Better sound proofing is needed to block out the obnoxious sirens and traffic noise from the street, and sounds from other guests in hallways and neighboring rooms. Also the air in the room was a bit dusty and made us sneeze or itchy. Better AC filter or an air purifier would have been nice. Lastly, the TV in the mirror in the bathroom didn’t work.
