The pictures does not give the full credit. It is larger than it looks in pictures and more beautiful. The room were spacious, in very nice shape with old style/classic interior, and very clean. Very pleasant staff that made you feel like you were staying at a high end place. Great breakfast as well. Only downside is that the surroundings and view is not as good as some of the similar hotels in the area.
I'm so glad we choose this hotel for our stay. It's a cozy hotel beautifully located away from the city center busy life. At the same time it is only a 20 minutes walk to it. The road to city center is beautiful and we enjoyed it a lot. Across from the hotel is a nice park as well. It is easy to get a taxi. One important note is, the hop on hop off bus is exactly in front of the hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We felt like we're guests with a family more than us being at a hotel. I believe one big reason our stay in Florance was special is being at this hotel.
Biggest takeaways: if you have any sensitivity to scent, do not stay here. The rooms smell of horrible perfumes. Manager is inconsiderate and rude. Also rooms in actuality looked cheap and not thoughtful. I had a hard to believe and horrible experience with this hotel. I was traveling in from the train, where I had just had a heat wave attack and was very ill. I checked in and requested water and fruit as I really needed nutrients and hydration. After check in the receptionist did not guide me to my room and then a few minutes later said, “do you need something?” I told her that it was not clear where my room was or what the next steps were. When I arrived to the room, after seconds I felt sick from the smell, so I requested another room. The other room smelled the same. The manager, Sabina, said I would need to go through Expedia to cancel, and I said that’s fine and I hope that it will be smooth for her to cancel since I did not stay with them and was very unwell. As I was waiting for my taxi, barely able to stand she then asked if I was going to pay for the tiny bowl of fruit and water they provided. I *genuinely* thought this was a joke, so I said “are you serious?” She then said , “I don’t like you and I will refuse your refund request.” All in all. Red flags! 🚩🚩🚩🚩 Stay far away!!! Much better hotels in Florence, as I travel here often and have never received such horrible hospitality.
