Great Location, Scenic Views, and Warm Hospitality We stayed at Park Plaza Budapest for two nights and really enjoyed our time there. The best part was the location — it's right by the Danube and within walking distance of landmarks like the Parliament, Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, and the Chain Bridge. At night, the view of the Parliament from the balcony was absolutely stunning. The front desk staff were outstanding. They warmly welcomed us and even upgraded us to a room with a balcony and river view, which made our stay extra special. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a bath tub and a simple tea/coffee setup (just an electric kettle and a few tea/coffee options). Parking was easy — we parked right in front of the hotel on the street. Since we stayed over the weekend, it was free. On weekdays, parking is paid but can be managed via the EasyPark app. There were about 15 spaces available, and we had no problem finding one on Sunday. The hotel offers a filtered cold water dispenser in the lobby, which was a small but appreciated touch during the warm days. As for breakfast, it was okay but quite basic and not really worth the €18 price. There are plenty of cafés and pastry shops nearby that offer better value for breakfast. Overall, Park Plaza Budapest is a great choice if you’re looking for a clean, well-located hotel with excellent staff and fantastic views.

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the view of the Parliament. The breakfast wasn’t bad either and the staff at the bar were really kind. However, as many said before, I also got the impression that this hotel needs a deep renovation immediately. Yes, it might be much cheaper than other hotels, but I never expected to see mold on the bathroom ceiling… Dirty tea cups in the room, chipping walls, stains on the carpet and mold in the bathroom made me feel like I visited some very cheap hostel rather than a 4* hotel.

Response to reply: they hotel mentioned they offered to change us rooms, and it was right beside ours, which the staff even mentioned wouldn't make a difference. Blatant lying. Be careful booking here. Hotel advertises air conditioning, however, they control it centrally and depending on where you're staying, they admit they only have one fan and it doesn't push the air to the other side of the building. Due to a medical reason in our group, this forced us to check out after one night of a seven day stay, and wouldn't give us a refund for the other nights, not even partially. Rooms are also in a state of needing repair.
