Excellent hotel! Very close to the main city attractions without being in a noisy setting, and apparently there had been some renovation recently. Our suite was wonderful, very comfortable and the terrace just great (it was raining, but in the summer it must be so nice!). The breakfast was very generous and we ate at the hotel’s restaurant once (the food was good, although the waiting time especially for the desserts was very long, but there was a big group, so I think they were having a busy day). The staff was very welcoming and professional. There’s a parking lot just beside the hotel (not private), and it’s rather reasonably priced and the parking spaces are large enough. There’s also a small shop at the hotel and a fitness centre, but we didn’t try it. We had looked at other accommodations for our trip to Trier, but we chose this hotel since it was more centrally located and it seemed modern and clean. And it was! We were very happy and would gladly come back. Highly recommended!
Very good hotel with nice big suite rooms (junior suite XL). The bar and restaurant are very good. In the bar there's a giant list of Gin & Tonic to choose from, also different Spanish Brandy for fans (as we are). We were here for a weekend trip to see the city. From the hotel your are in inmediate reach by foot for most historical sites to visite. Also the shopping center are here in the Altstad. Paid parking is below the hotel, entrence is left from the hotel entrance. You can get into the hotel from within the parking. Push the doorbell to get in.
The hotel is located in an excellent spot for exploring the old city of Trier. The only negative comment is that although the hotel is advertised as dog-friendly, the room selection is limited if you bring your furry family members. This was our 34th anniversary, and I'd booked a nice room and had fully disclosed I was bringing a pet. However, after we checked in and went to the room, we received a visit from the front desk advising us we'd have to move rooms because, as they stated, they weren't aware of the dog and had rules on which rooms pets could be in. In any event, we still enjoyed the weekend.
