Parkhotel Heilbronn

The staff at the hotel are lovely. Rooms are a good size and well kept. We had a great view of the city and the location allowed us to visit the Christmas markets which took over the downtown. The hotel is also well located, close to transportation within the city and not far from the railroad station.

I arrived at the park hotel in Heilbronn at 11:55pm after a long drive from Italy, in hope for a room to sleep in for some well needed rest. The night porter open the door and told me there were free rooms available, after a longer conversation regarding payments etc, which I did not know much about, within the country of Germany coming from New Zealand. I was offering to pay cash or by credit card, he somehow proceeded to assume I couldn’t afford it and didn’t like my unfriendly approach sorry that I wasn’t in the best of moods after an 8 hour drive, but a night porter or anybody working within a hotel, should be able to adjust to the guests needs and be able to take a very little mood swing, from someone that is actually very kind, I was offering to pay to stay at the humble house of park hotel Heilbronn only to be told I do not fit into the hotel standards and criteria as I was wearing comfortable clothes from my long drive and not wearing a suit. He judged a book by its cover which is superficial and mean, and was extremely rude. Sad to say that the night Portier lacks the competence of a hotel staff member hence why he probably works nights and doesn’t enjoy having to deal with guests.
