I went to a wellness retreat with a friend for three days. We were able to unwind and relax. Our room was very spacious, with a bathroom with two sinks and a whirlpool tub. We also had a balcony. The room was also very clean. The hotel is very quiet. We had separate bath towels, a bathrobe, and a wellness bag provided by the hotel for the wellness area. The massage was very relaxing. They offer a wide variety of massages. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Since I have allergies, the manager came personally to ask if I could have dessert, as it was made with fruit. I found this very thoughtful. What I personally also really liked was that at breakfast, they asked what kind of egg you would like, and it was freshly prepared. (There's too much food on offer these days, and unfortunately, too much of it gets thrown away.) The staff was very nice and friendly. We would also like to thank Maurice very much for his honest manner. :-). Since this hotel only changed hands at the beginning of the year, you can tell there's still a lot to do. A lot of renovations have already been done. You can't completely renovate such a large hotel in just a few months. The staff goes out of their way to ensure that guests feel comfortable and relaxed. We will definitely be back. Many thanks to the entire team for the wonderful time.
Our children gave us a 4-day wellness holiday as a birthday present, which we spent here two days apart (it was both our birthdays). We really enjoyed it here. The hotel is in a very quiet location, just outside of Bad Sobernheim. The staff make every effort to fulfill all our wishes, even if there are still a few language barriers. Nevertheless, everyone was very friendly and helpful. On my birthday, I was surprised with amazing table decorations, and I was very happy about it. The new owners, whom we met and who only recently took over the hotel, were also very friendly and helpful. The boss himself was in the kitchen every day helping out. Evening meals, also prepared by the trainees, were delicious and plentiful, and with a choice of three dishes, were perfectly adequate for us. The room was clean, with a TV and a minibar. The bathroom was a bit small and cramped, but it had everything we needed. There was one small complaint, though. The balcony access has a high edge, making it easy to trip (it happened to me twice, even though I knew it would happen). Perhaps there will be a way to mitigate this in the future. The outdoor area isn't completely clean yet, but you also have to consider that the new owner only recently took over the hotel and has a lot of work ahead of him to bring everything back up to standard. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our four days and would come back anytime, which we definitely will. We were very pleased with the friendliness of all the staff, as well as the manager and his wife, and their efforts to make our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible for us and the other guests. We wish the entire team every success in their efforts to restore the hotel to a wonderful wellness oasis.
The service staff was friendly, the rooms and the entire hotel were clean, but dated and in need of renovation. The outdoor pool hasn't been open for a long time, and the whirlpool was far too cold. The indoor pool could be warmer. Of all the saunas, two were in constant use, while the others could be turned on upon request. Some of the facilities, such as the steam room and high-pressure shower, have been broken for a long time. The massages and clay treatments offered are very good. All in all, quite okay, but there's room for improvement.
