Parkhotel Oberhausen

Excellent modern yet cozy hotel, with numerous services, tasteful outdoor lounge area. International crowd, extensive parking. Excellent reception. Large and very clean rooms with extensive amenities. Excellent restaurant and pub. Highly recommended.

We booked a package at this hotel which includes a 3 night stay including breakfast and 2-day movie park ticket, and tickets to Lego discovery center and sealife. The staff is super friendly and the hotel has two restaurants connected to it which all seem to be part of the hotel. The room we got was street side so you should be able to handle street sounds or request another room since the hotel is next to a main road through the city. The beds were fine but we had to request thinner blankets since the standard blankets seem to be made for people that cannot handle cold weather. The breakfast buffet was nice, which includes bread, meat, cheese, eggs, condiments and much more. There was definitely enough to pick to eat that even our picky daughter ate enough. The lobby are includes some board games and there seem to be DVDs though we didn’t use those since we were out and about all day.

Maybe we were just unlucky with our deluxe room! Because it was dirty, absolutely not very clean. I think the hotel looks like it needs renovation, definitely not a four star hotel. The breakfast area is fine. The hotel are offering free ice cream for kids, what is super. The hotel was nice to offer a free breakfast, because of the room.
