We loved our stay! The room was lovely, very spacious and cozy. However, the pillows were quite disappointing. They were extremely flat, and even when using two, they offered no support and flattened immediately, which affected my sleep. The overall property is beautiful, the garden, the lake, and the reception area are all very charming. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming. While I appreciated the barista-made coffee (a great touch compared to instant or French press), the buffet itself was quite limited. It’s great that the eggs and pancakes are made fresh to order, but I feel the variety could be improved. If there’s one area I’d suggest focusing on, it would be providing better quality pillows and offering more options in the breakfast buffet and menu. Overall, a lovely place with great potential for an even better guest experience.

I had high expectations from Parkland Resorts given the premium pricing of $666 per day, but the experience was hugely disappointing. Right from the start, the staff was extremely unwelcoming and lacked even basic hospitality. The rooms were not ready on time due to a power cut — and shockingly, the resort has no power backup system in place. Cleanliness was another major issue. The floor wasn’t clean, and the hot water kettle and coffee machine in the room were dirty and rusted — completely unusable and unacceptable. On top of that, the WiFi was painfully slow, and there was barely any mobile network coverage in the room, which made staying connected a struggle. The only good points were the location and that the room was spacious. Overall, this was far from the premium experience promised. Poor service, lack of basic amenities, and an indifferent attitude from staff made it a regrettable stay. I would not recommend Parkland Resorts and certainly won’t be returning.

We stayed 3 nights this week and were a little disappointed. We had such high hopes for the accommodation because it looks amazing on the website. The staff were wonderful from start to finish. The reason for 4 stars for Service was because it felt like the most appropriate place to mark down because of the breakfast service. - the breakfast options were the same every day, previous experiences at nice hotels have some variations each day but nothing changed all week. Some items had a funny taste and after informing the waiter, the kitchen staff said there was nothing wrong with them. We avoided those for the rest of our stay. The room left a lot to be desired: - terrible pillows - so flat and even when using 2 together they flattened right out. 3 days later and I still have a terrible neck ache which will cost me a trip to the physio tomorrow. Please invest in pillows representative of your image, they are so important to a hotel stay - the bathroom door didn’t close properly - the window in the bathroom didn’t open - the fireplace, whilst cozy and lovely didn’t have temperature control - the carpet and curtains were quite stained - creaky floors all over, not just in one or 2 spots that could be avoided so when one of us got up through the night for the bathroom we woke the other - no streaming or casting options (smart tv). We were not there to watch TV but in our down time it would have been good. Most places these days have these options. - the fridge was cool at best with no temperature control and no freezer option - significant maintenance is needed throughout the buildings - inside and out The grounds are absolutely stunning but are not enough for us to return, we will return to Blackheath, but we will stay somewhere else next time. A place of this stature shouldn’t present like that.
