Parklands Hotel & Country Club

Attended my nephews funeral here last week and it was an excellent experience. Welcoming friendly staff and lovely delicious fresh food. Soup was great. Name places at tables extremely well organised even offered breakfast to those who arrived early before the limousines arrived to take us to the service. Just made the sad day very memorable indeed.

We always keep returning annually to the hotel. Extremely friendly and warm staff. Special mention to Joanna who took care of my dad during breakfasts and who really appreciated her. And of course the front desk team. Thank you all!

This was booked as a birthday gift for a relaxing spa break for my partner. On arrival we were advised that the main attraction of the spa(the thermal pool) and the steam room were not working. This is hugely disappointing especially as if we were advised in advance we would have cancelled as this was the whole reason we booked. We asked for a partial refund due to this and were told no, the only thing they could give was a free breakfast…. The room was fine but could do with a wee bit of TLC. In the hallway of the stairs to the rooms there are random worn massage beds which obviously need thrown out which doesn’t look the best to guests, a bit more care needs to be taken to presentation I think. We visited the restaurant and the meals were fine however the service wasn’t the best, nobody checked if the meals were okay and left waiting for ages to try and pay our bill. Not sure if we will be back.
