Parmada Hotel Old City

Great location - close to the subway and the tram that takes you to all the major sights in the city center. Nice staff - they were all friendly and helpful with most of them speaking English. Well-equipped and clean room with a comfortable bed. Selection for breakfast was much wider than what I expected from such a small hotel. (I am pretty sure they upgraded their service recently, because I read some poor reviews about breakfast which now seem obsolete.) Would deserve 5 stars, but I had two problems: 1, the loud noise in our room from what appeared to be a water pipe inside the building. (On the other hand, street/traffic noise was not that bad, because the windows had good soundproofing.) 2, The constant smell of cigarette smoke inside the room and even from the ventillating system. (Must be a common problem throughout the country though, which is not a friendly place towards non-smokers.)

I don’t recommend this hotel at all. The rooms were very dirty and there is dust everywhere and the toilet no words can describe how disgusting it was. They pretend to clean every day but they only make up the bed and nothing else. The staff were rude, very ugly and strange some of them laugh at you and talk with each other about you as a customer. They have no respect when you talk to them. The breakfast was a disaster and you can't taste it at all, and there was no hygiene ever. They save the same food for the next day and the fruit was not fresh. Also, the location is not good at all, there are always cars and noise outside. There are nicer than this disgusting hotel.

The worst hotel experience everrrrrr... not clean.. very smelly.... We wiped the surfaces of the room and many of our wipes turned black. There was a funny smell in the room. I think it was the sewage pipes. A hotel employee smoked in the breakfast area next to the food. For breakfast food items, they didn't refill once something ran out. The water dispenser handle was actually black. For some reason there were 2 electricity cuts during our stay.
