*** The Good *** This was my second time in Santos previously staying across the street at Atlantico Hotel. This was a family get together people flying from Chile and the USA 8 adults 1 teen 16 yes old. Rooms were clean, big and a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was very big as well with strong water pressure and hot water. Housekeeping crew being the nicest of employees at the hotel then front desk. Breakfast had a lot of choices but same choices every day. Good coffee and food was replenished often. *** The Bad *** Having said this i was very disappointed with a few issues that are essential to enjoy your stay, and this is “hygiene practices” in the breakfast hall, and the pool & jacuzzi areas. They have a practice during breakfast of not removing all silverware from the table once another person gets up, they barely removed crumbs and just fill in the missing pieces not considering people might have touched it or put it in their mouth. I mentioned it to a woman supervisor as she was doing that to the table my family was going to use she didn't care and just started bad mouthing me with other workers and got dirty looks for the rest of my stay.I personally had a coffee cup that had lipstick on. We cleaned all silverware we used after that before using it. The water in the jacuzzi was cold, and no bartender on site having to make a phone call every time you need a beer, food or drinks. We stayed Monday thru Saturday and Friday the pool was full of kids and no employee was there in the afternoon, I saw kids having ice cream inside the jacuzzi and parents feeding them food as well, needless to say ice cream dripping on the water snd kids washing their dirty hands there. They make you sign a form at checkin that you wont smoke I feel is a good idea to make a general form and make people sign it that you will follow rules. This was gross and after seeing this I skipped the pool area all together. Also due to weather in Chicago i had to move a day later and i was getting a refund on the site and when I contacted the hotel however they will not respond after i okd the change and later was charged for skipping the first night although Booking tried to contact them also several times. i booked a separate reservation for the last day so lost $300. I love Santos next time will choose an international chain price wise its not much of a difference.

I'm a ship captain, so I'm travelling a lot.... What I can say about it : it's a good hotel with pretty good services and excellent position !!!! Prices are also reasonable! Why I was giving a star only!? Because I was robbed in the hotel lobby with 2 security guys nearby!!! I was only 10 seconds away from my luggage, to wave to the taxi, from the hotel door /entrance and my hand luggage with documents and lot of personal stuff was gone! Luckily I was not injured. Now I'm stucked in this beautiful country, till I get a new passport to go home.Pitty,,,,i was planning to come back here with my family for a vacation..... Now I've changed my mind.....very pitty....
