Absolutely had an amazing experience. The view from our room was incredible! They also have a small restaurant that's extremely convenient for the quests but is also open to anyone. We meet some amazing people (mostly from Canada) that we had a delightful conversation on how the rest of the world thinks about the US, not one person said anything negative or controversial to us. Mostly I was able to see and understand their culture more. Not to ramble on but I am actually taking the time to write this review to say thank you to Edger, he made our stay one of our best vacation. He makes the best margaritas!
This place is amazing, wonderful charm and character, if you’re hesitant, just book it! We were hesitant to be adrift of the downtown scene but it was truly a blessing. The views are unparalleled in PV and the best restaurants are minutes away. Edgar’s happy hour 2-for-1 margaritas are possibly the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Don’t waste your time or money if he is not serving though, genuinely ask if/when he is on shift, it will change your perspective on what a quality cocktail means.
I recently stayed here with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The beds were extremely firm, and we were hoping for a restful sleep, but instead, we were in pain for five nights. Despite our request for a mattress pad to ease the discomfort, the hotel only provided a thin blanket, which did not help at all. Our friends were kind enough to offer to trade rooms with us, but their beds were equally as hard. Another issue was the hot tub, which was never hot. I messaged the owner, who said they could turn it on whenever we wanted, but we had places to be and things to do, making it hard to predict when we needed it. A set schedule for the hot tub would have been more ideal, allowing us to plan our activities around it. The lack of a schedule was quite strange and inconvenient. We had also read prior reviews warning of stairs, but found that the stairs were not as daunting as everyone made it seem. On a positive note, the food at the hotel's restaurant was good, but the wait times were very long. We had to wait at least 30 minutes if we were the only table and more than an hour if there were multiple tables. Knowing this in advance, we were somewhat prepared, but it was still frustrating. There were some good aspects to the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the view was beautiful. However, the uncomfortable beds overshadowed these positive points, making it difficult to get any sleep- which is huge since you’re on vacation to rest.
