Patitiri

We discovered this gem of a place completely by chance and how lucky we were! Gianmaria and Esin (wonderful people) welcomed us in, gave us a tour of the villa, explaining all the history behind it. Even walked us around the beautiful lemon orchard surrounding the villa (which tasted like heaven!). The villa itself is beautiful and cosy, and comes with a lovely pool. Look no further if you are looking for a truly authentic Sicilian experience!

The owner, Gianmaria, and Patitiri itself are wonderful – I highly recommend visiting this place! It's located a bit further from the beach, but this allows you to avoid the Sicilian "hustle and bustle," which can be quite loud. Here, you can relax in peace, soak up the sun, and feel right at home. Patitiri is a place with soul, owned by the same family for generations – from grandfather and great-grandfather. Formerly a silk factory and a small vineyard, it gives this place a unique character. It's not a 5-star hotel, but it wasn't what we expected either, and it met all our expectations. Gianmaria himself is an incredibly humble, kind, and warm person. He's incredibly helpful, and you can tell he puts a lot of work and heart into making this place run as smoothly as possible. As we said before leaving, we'd love to return.
