Honest Review – 3-Day Stay at Hotel Discovery (Dee Block Building) We stayed at Hotel Discovery (Dee Block Building) for 3 days and would like to share our honest experience: 1. Location & Property: The hotel’s location is excellent – centrally located, clean, and definitely worth the money. The property is well-maintained and visually appealing. 2. Check-in Experience: Unfortunately, our check-in was far from pleasant. Despite rooms being available and our early check-in request submitted in advance (based on flight timings), we were asked an additional 2,000 Baht just for a 3-hour early check-in. This was disappointing and felt unreasonable. 3. Room Quality: The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-kept, with good views and easy connectivity to local attractions. No complaints here. 4. Breakfast Experience: For Indian or vegetarian guests, the breakfast options were extremely limited. Despite repeated requests, the chef was uncooperative and unwilling to prepare even basic vegetarian items for kids. This lack of flexibility led to frustration, especially when traveling with children. 5. Staff Behavior: Most of the hotel staff were courteous and helpful. However, two individuals stood out negatively – the breakfast chef and a receptionist named Ms. TiTi. Ms. TiTi, in particular, was extremely rude, loud, and unprofessional. Her attitude lacked basic hospitality and left us very disappointed. --- Final Thoughts While the property itself is value for money and has many positives, some aspects of service – especially from specific staff members – need serious improvement. If you do choose to stay here, we hope your experience is smoother and you don’t have to deal with the same individuals we encountered. Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)

Warning: Money Stolen from Our Room While we usually leave our suitcase unlocked, a common lapse, we expected a certain level of safety at this 3/4 star property. Unfortunately, this time was different. Despite extensive travel both domestically and internationally, this is the first time something like this has happened to us. We asked housekeeping to clean our room while we stayed present, but they said they were on lunch break and would come later. Respecting that, we left to have lunch ourselves. Upon returning, I found money missing from my suitcase. We reported it to reception, who promised to investigate and follow up. After waiting 3–4 hours with no update, we checked back only to be told nothing was found. They explained they had spoken with housekeeping and checked the staff locker, but it seemed unlikely stolen money would be kept there. While I acknowledge it was my oversight, this experience was very disappointing. I urge future guests to be extra cautious with valuables, as not everything can be safely stored. Guests deserve a feeling of security, which we did not experience here. Based on this, I would not recommend staying at this property again.

⭐ 1 Star – Terrible Experience, Would Never Come Back I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We booked a certain type of room at Discovery Pattaya Hotel, but they gave us something completely different — smaller, older, and nothing like the photos. When we brought it up at the reception, the staff were shockingly rude and dismissive. Instead of helping us, they started arguing and behaved very badly. It honestly felt like they were trying to cheat us, and they didn’t care at all about fixing the issue. No apology, no solution — just attitude. We felt completely unwelcome from the moment we checked in. Hospitality here is non-existent. I’d strongly recommend staying somewhere else — there are far better options in Pattaya where you’ll actually be treated with respect.
