Booked a villa here. Place is awesome. It is a gated community however a little far from the main piers. Shops near by are under construction but there is a 7 eleven store around 1 kms from here on both the directions. Bike rentals are also available around 500m from here
In this case, I want to start by saying that the staff has been kind and helpful throughout our stay. However, I’d like to share my experience in hopes that it can be used to improve the process going forward. During our stay, there was a one-time incident where a loud noise occurred due to an accident inside the house. It was not related to any violence or disruptive behavior. I immediately spoke to the neighbors, explained the situation, and sincerely apologized. Everyone seemed understanding, and they simply came to check if someone was hurt. I also informed the host right away and confirmed that everything was fine. The following morning, things were completely normal—until around 3 PM, when I suddenly found myself logged out of my Airbnb account, along with the account that made the booking. Then, later that evening, the host messaged us to let us know that we needed to check out that same evening—without any prior notice. According to the host, it was the neighbors who reported the incident, but the strange part is that not only the booking account was affected, my personal account was also reported even though I didn’t book the place. This raises concerns about how our individual accounts were identified and reported. Over the past two years, I’ve stayed at more than 30 different Airbnbs, and I’ve never had this kind of issue before—with either a host or a condo complex. I always strive to be a respectful and responsible guest. Thank you for taking the time to listen to our feedback. I hope this helps bring attention to how these situations are handled so that future guests don’t have to go through the same experience.
⚠️ Horrible Experience at Replay Condos – Avoid Pause On Samui & Host Maxim at All Costs Review: I’ve stayed at over 30 Airbnbs in the past 2 years, and not once have I experienced anything remotely close to what happened at Townhouse D2 at Replay Condos, hosted by Maxim via Pause On Samui. Within just two days of arriving, I received an unexpected notice from Airbnb stating I was somehow violating terms of service—something that has never happened to me before. Confused and concerned, I continued the stay hoping for a smooth month ahead. For a short while, things were barely tolerable: frequent power outages during work hours, a malfunctioning TV, and poor communication. Still, I made the best of it. But then one night, I raised my voice briefly—before 10PM, which is the stated quiet time—and was told the next morning that I had to vacate the premises that same day. No warning. No mediation. Just kicked out, mid-trip, like I was some kind of criminal. To make it worse, the refund I received was incorrect, and Maxim then tried billing me $400, claiming I damaged a bed frame (which I absolutely did not). To add insult to injury, before we even arrived, we had agreed on a $2,000 monthly rate in cash. When it came time to pay, he increased the price to nearly $2,500, forcing me to book through Airbnb instead, which brought the total to $2,700 for a month in an aging, worn-out complex. After being forced out with only a few hours’ notice, we immediately found a full private villa for $2,000/month that was 10x better in every way—modern, peaceful, and actually worth the price. Replay Condominium itself isn’t terrible—a bit dated but decent—but Pause On Samui and host Maxim made this the worst Airbnb experience of my life. The way I was treated was unprofessional, unfair, and borderline exploitative. Also the beach nearby has broken glass in the water and is dangerous to swim in.
