Pazo Los Escudos Hotel Spa & Resort

A lovely, comfortable hotel which exceeded the expectations we had based on the online presentation. Our third (top) floor sea view room with balcony was delightful with views across the ocean to the hills opposite. Extremely quiet and peaceful (hardly any other guests on our floor, was June out of season?). Service generally good, though we made little claim on them. The local town-side not especially attractive but beautiful soft white sand beaches. Plenty of sea-side walking immediately available. Free parking below with lift straight up to room.

Room was spacious and clean, bed and pillows super comfortable, bathroom large with both shower and tube and all the amenities provided. We just missed a chair or an armchair/sofa to be given 5 stars.

This place is a gorgeous restoration of a "Galician pazo" (a rural residence of the nobles in the Galician region). The main entrance depicts many armory shields (escudos, as the name of the place), 101 of them according to the details i found. The hotel counts with rooms, restaurants, event rooms, a pool and many green areas and gardens. Also the views to the ria are beautiful.
