The suite located at the top of an adjacent building to the hotel. It is not a one space and so a bit of a hustle locking up three different rooms and unlocking them, plus downstairs space is offices and so anyone can come upstairs by mistake. It would be useful to have a clear marking or a single door to stop people from going upstairs as if staying as a family your bedroom doors will be left open when in the rooms, otherwise what’s the point in booking a suite. Otherwise lovely and quiet hotel with a nice view.
Nice place with friendly staff, beautiful nature and relaxing atmosphere. Good breakfast. Free parking, electric cars charge is available. WiFi worked perfect. All was fine in general. The indoor pool is not too big, when children come to have fun you’ll have to leave it, as it is impossible to swim. The room is missing electric kettle and phone to call reception (for a 5* hotel it should be available)The air conditioning system is too loud, you should use ear plugs to sleep. In the new part of the hotel the room’s bathroom is a part of the room, the part with the sink even doesn’t have any door (just mention this while choosing the room), I prefer classical version with bathroom having a door and some privacy in it. The Restaurant is $$$, still we had to find the menu by myself and the waiter did not notice us for some 20 minutes.
This is a beautiful place. The view is worthy of a postcard. Outside our room was a lake with ducks. After the craziness of work, dogs, traffic, noise, etc, this place was almost deathly quiet. I thoroughly enjoyed that. I want to come again. Let's put that right out front. Dinner was ok. It was done well but again it wasn't top-notch level. The prices were accurate and we enjoyed the meal. One person in our party ordered the chicken from the kids menu and it had burn marks and was over done. They offered a scoop of ice cream as an apology. A 5 star place would have taken the plate, offered something else, maybe comp'd the plate, or a visit from the manager. The rooms are ..interesting. the toilet is offered privacy through two frosted glass doors. Typical of a European toilet stall it isn't large, so when you close the glass doors behind you, you are visible through the doors. You just can't see details. If you are sitting on the toilet and someone stands on the other side of the door, you can wave to them and they can tell. They can't see your face, or smile, but your arm moving around will be discernable. The room has a very large, think 3 meter, sliding glass door facing the lake. We opened it all the way and let the fresh air in until a smoker killed that for a few minutes. They finished their cancer stick and we opened the door again. While outside we also met a very friendly kitty. The shower offered zero privacy. If you are in the shower and someone wants to brush their teeth, smile. The glass is completely transparent and VERY clean. The cleaning staff said this was a very German way of doing things. I have no idea. The pool and changing rooms were enjoyable and clean. Do some laps. The gym has enough equipment scraped together to say it is a gym. But the gym is really one of the most underused places at a hotel so I don't really ding that. The atmosphere is very cozy. One of the restaurant rooms even has a creek running through it. It's covered in glass and when a good rain or snow has happened you can see the water running under your feet . Make sure you get breakfast. It was excellent. Makes breakfast at an American hotel look horrible when it's included. The European version of Continental breakfast is very nice to be sure. We enjoyed our stay other than the fact that smoking is still a popular thing in most European countries. Come have a stay. We were here over the July 4th US holiday. Compared to Houston, TX and 99 degrees, it was 68 degrees and 55 at night. It's also close to many attractions we enjoy visiting when we come to this part of the country.
