Peak Edge Hotel at The Red Lion

Room 104. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay special. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and offered stunning views of the lake. The Red Lion restaurant was fantastic the breakfast and evening dinner were 5 star. Would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing 5 star experience. Cant wait to come back.

A fantastic experience from start to finish. A really warm welcome at reception, a delightful room and a great view. The restaurant is excellent, I had a superb dinner and delicious breakfast, and every encounter that I had with a member of the team was first class. I also had the good fortune to meet Simon, the head chef, who clearly loves his job and spoke very passionately about the local produce that is used for the restaurant.

Red Lion – Lunch Review We visited the Red Lion for lunch on a Thursday and were impressed by the venue itself – it’s clear they’ve invested considerably to create a modern, contemporary atmosphere. The staff were friendly and well-trained, offering a warm welcome. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the setting. While visually appealing, the flavours were rather bland. The fishcake was heavy on potato and light on fish, and the garden pea risotto lacked depth. The biggest let-down, however, was the service speed. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, starters took 30 minutes to arrive, and mains followed a further 45 minutes later. With a strict 90-minute table limit, this left little time to enjoy the meal. Overall, a stylish venue with good service, but the kitchen needs to improve both flavour and timing.
