Obsessed with this hotel! For starters, every staff member that we encountered was amazing. They were all extremely kind, helpful and personable. The rooms were clean, equipped with everything we needed and spacious -Not to mention our views were absolutely breathtaking. We brought our two kids with us (3 & 12) and they loved it! From the playground to the outdoor and indoor pool, they had a blast! We'll definitely be staying here again once we return.
We stayed as a family of four for four nights at Pedras do Mar. The rooms were clean, but the hotel as a whole feels a bit past its prime. Breakfast was the main disappointment: served in a noisy basement room, with limited variety, and hot dishes such as eggs and bacon unfortunately cold. Using the beautiful restaurant area that is open for lunch and dinner would create a much more pleasant experience. In our suite, some details fell short: missing towels and bathroom amenities on several days, a sliding door that didn’t close properly, and a kitchenette that was partly out of order. Service was correct but not particularly attentive – for example, our request for a late check-out was declined rather brusquely, and during check-out there was no feedback or friendly farewell. We have stayed in several five-star hotels rated by local standards, and unfortunately this was the least convincing. For those who value attentive service and breakfast quality, we would recommend the Santa Barbara Eco Resort – a higher price per night, but in our view well worth
Definitely not 5* more 4 but past its prime. The restaurant and spa were not great but I have left separate reviews for them. Location is beautiful and reception staff polite but that is sadly where the pros end. Hotel amenities are lacking for its price tag. Indoor pool room gets very steamy and unpleasant. Outdoor pool looks nice but is not maintained well, also quite small and shallow. Gym is tiny fits about 2 or 3 people. Restaurant area has one pool table which is constantly hogged by the same families. Outdoor kids park is not great, has a rusty old swing and slide. No atmosphere at all. Breakfast buffet was okay but kept the same all week. Rooms comfortable and cleaned well. No iron. Complimentary water and minibar (additional cost).
