We had a lovely time at Pedro Barn, located in the beautiful setting of Little England Cottages. The ambiance was charming, and the overall experience was enjoyable. The food was delicious, and the peaceful surroundings made it a perfect escape. However, we did have a small issue when we arrived. There were plenty of empty tables, but we weren’t offered a place to sit. We had to request the menu and ended up reading it while standing, which felt a bit unwelcoming. A little more attentiveness at the start would have made the experience perfect. That said, everything else was lovely, and we’d definitely return …hopefully next time with a warmer welcome!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The biggest highlight was definitely the scenic views—they were absolutely beautiful and made the stay feel peaceful and refreshing. The rooms were decent, clean, and fairly comfortable, offering a good base for exploring the area. However, the biggest letdown was the service. We were shocked to be charged for basic amenities like drinking water, and not just a small amount—the price was almost three times what it should have been. Even after specifically requesting not to be charged for water, the charges remained on our bill. To add to that, the price of bottled water was the same as a Coke, which was both absurd and frustrating. What made it worse was the attitude of the hotel staff. They were not open to feedback, and seemed completely unconcerned and unwilling to listen or resolve our issues. It felt like customer comfort wasn’t a priority. Overall, the location and views were lovely, and the rooms were fine, but the lack of basic hospitality and unfair pricing really took away from the experience. With better service, this hotel could truly be a great stay—but as of now, I wouldn’t recommend it unless changes are made.

While the surroundings of the hotel were absolutely beautiful and peaceful perfect for a relaxing getaway unfortunately, our overall experience fell far below expectations. Our stay at Pedro Barn was unfortunately quite disappointing. We had booked a triple room well in advance, being very specific about needing an extra bed as we were traveling with two small children. Despite paying for a triple room (even though technically not required), we were informed just before arrival that the room was “out of order.” It felt more like the hotel had overbooked, and as a result, we were moved to a cottage which did not meet our needs. The cottage room had only one bed, which meant all four of us had to share it, making the stay very uncomfortable, especially with young children. As compensation, the hotel offered a complimentary lunch. However, upon arrival, we were told only a limited set menu was available. The food portion provided was not enough, and when we asked for more, we were initially told it would be chargeable. Only after raising concerns did they agree to provide additional food as complimentary. We had also requested dinner well in advance, highlighting the need for it to be served on time because of our young kids. Unfortunately, when we arrived for dinner, nothing was ready. We had to ask repeatedly more than three times just to get the soup, as our 3-year-old was falling asleep hungry. We were finally told that the food was still being prepared. This delay was unacceptable. Overall, the service was poor and did not match the price paid. It’s definitely not an experience we would want to repeat Recommendation: If you still plan to visit, I would strongly suggest booking only with bed and breakfast (BB) and ordering à la carte instead of opting for their meal plans, as the set menus were disappointing.
