We stayed in the two bedroom king suite. There was 5 of us. 2 adults and 3 teens. The room was perfect. Plenty of space and bathrooms for everyone. Very private and quiet with amazing views. Excellent staff. Great location near Hudson yards, MSG, the high line and midtown attractions. We took Amtrack into the city and the hotel is across the street from Moynihan Hall which was very convenient. We will return and look forward to trying other Pendry hotels as well.

Beautiful, modern hotel in a great area of New York. Rooms are clean. comfortable and luxurious. Housekeeping is attentive and punctual.( this is not one of those places where you come back from lunch wanting a nap to find the room still …

I recently stayed at the Pendry in New York while celebrating my engagement last weekend. Overall, the hotel was nice and well-situated in Hudson Yards – a central location with easy access to landmarks like the Empire State Building, Times Square, and Madison Square Garden. The staff was generally friendly, and I appreciated being upgraded to a room on the 19th floor as part of Amex’s Fine Hotel and Resorts. But for a hotel that’s marketed as a 5-star experience, a few issues stood out that really detracted from the overall experience. The biggest red flag came on the first night: when I pulled back the sheets to get into bed, I found several hairs that clearly weren’t mine, along with what looked like crumbs. Not exactly what you’d expect after check-in at a luxury hotel. To the hotel’s credit, they offered to either move me to a different room or do a deep clean, and I opted for the latter – which they promptly arranged. Another letdown was during what was supposed to be a celebratory moment. After mentioning that I was celebrating an engagement, a manager offered to send a bottle of wine up to the room and asked what I’d like – a kind gesture that never materialized. It’s a small detail, but one that felt emblematic of the overall service: well-intentioned but lacking follow-through. Breakfast also missed the mark. Each morning, I was offered seating at a table where either the floor or the area under the table still had food or utensils. It happened 2 of the 3 mornings. Finally, at checkout, the front desk made a point of “comping” my remaining balance, which sounded generous until I realized that my booking through American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts likely would have covered that amount anyway. If it wasn’t covered, the explanation for the gesture wasn’t clear. I keep asking to see the charges because if Amex benefit was used, I wanted to leverage it All in all, it was a good not great experience. However, at a certain a price point, I expect great.
