Our two families (4 rooms, 3 nights) had an incredible stay at Peninsula Hotel in Danang! The Deluxe Ocean View rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed, with stunning views that made every morning special. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond—special thanks to the team member who helped us cross the road safely! The infinity pool was a highlight, absolutely gorgeous, though I wish it had warm water like Iceland’s Blue Lagoon. Breakfast offered plenty of choices, though vegetarian options were limited; the staff kindly prepared some Indian vegetarian dishes for us, which was a lovely touch. Just a short walk to the beach, this hotel is a gem. Highly recommend for a perfect Danang getaway!

Excellent location and view, excellent food; Poor facilities and a lot of not so user-friendly design Stayed here for 4 nights and tried the breakfast, lunch and complimentary afternoon tea. The food choices are great and the quality is well above expectations. Great sea view from room and restaurant. Service is great and the staff is very quick and responsive when you asked for help. The main lobby is underwhelming as a five start hotel. There are 3 elevators for 27 floors, so it could take you 3-5 mins wait during peak hours such as breakfast/ check in/ checkout time, which can be quite annoying. I noticed several occasions when the bed sheet/ towels were dirty. The place where the tissue rack is set is really inconvenient. I think all these show that they haven’t been thoughtful with the hardware design of the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay due to the view and the food. But there are other inconveniences adding up that would make us hesitant to return or recommend to others.

*FRAUD WARNING* Picking Peninsula Hotel was one of the easiest choices due to its reputation worldwide, however, my experience was the opposite. It’s crazy it had almost zero WIFI signal. TV couldn’t access any apps due to weak internet. We just had to use our own phone data. The pool and gym were so small and underwhelming. Pool looks like a small pond while the gym has one bench, few dumbbells, and two treadmills. To worsen the experience, the other amenities such as sauna and steam are only accessible via reservation with usage of 20mins max each day. I was unable to use them due to timings and it’s either fully booked or there is a cutoff. Breakfast buffet was ok. There were good choices like Banh Mi, Pho, yogurt and fruits (dragon fruit and strawberries were the star), and good egg dishes. Other several options are available but some don’t click. Ostrich Cube was so hard to chew. Meanwhile, I really liked Vietnamese coffee but they serve it cold in a regular glass pitcher on the side (what!). I asked for them to at least reheat my cup, but they refused. Waiter said I just put hot water! How come! Of course the coffee becomes diluted. The second time I asked another staff, she said the hot coffee in pot (beside the pitcher) is also Vietnamese coffee. When I tasted it, it honestly isn’t. Taster like regular instant coffee. She lied. Afternoon tea is a good addition but the pastry is subpar. It’s otherwise acceptable since it’s free and already part of the booking. The free footbath option felt like a scam. Honestly I would rather not offer them if I was the hotel…it’s literally putting your feet on hot water and they leave you there for 20mins. The experience felt funny and unnecessary. The bathroom shower was flooding and going the other way, not the drain. The lower shower head is leaking. After all, I am leaving 2 stars not 1 star because the staff were courteous and polite (despite some lying to me about the coffee) and overall cleanliness and 180 degree view of the ocean. The rooftop lounge was nice. You can really feel they are really trying. But definitely, the price you pay isn’t worth a 5-star hotel nor any other similarly-priced hotels in all of Vietnam. As a comparison, I stayed in the nearby Sel De Mer and their amenities were topnotch: bigger gym, bigger pool, sauna and steam room use were unlimited with the same beach view…AT ALMOST HALF THE PRICE (depends on the season and promotions but surely priced less in all occasions). Similarly, La Coupole in Sapa have three times better amenities at the same price. I have a second booking at the end of my trip at Peninsula but I honestly wouldn’t want to go back. ***EDIT: FRAUD ALERT: They accepted my cancellation for 2nd booking. But after leaving this review, I saw another review here saying this is not related to Peninsula hotel chain. I was speechless. The hotel name is quite misleading and seems intentional. If meant as a homage to “Son Tra Peninsula”, they should have named as such or just utilized another name. It’s literally piggybacking on The Peninsula brand with similar-looking font.
