Penventon Park Hotel

Lovely hotel, hidden in the trees. Large car park with plenty of spaces. Breakfast very good - the best scrambled eggs I’ve had. The standard double room was a tad small but the large bathroom made up for it. A long list of cocktails at the bar and very tasty hot chocolate. They also have a resident cat that likes to sneak in through the front door.

We booked the Penventon Park hotel because we wanted a place to stay that was central to all the great locations. The room was big with a terrace access. Fresh water was provided every day free of charge. The bathroom was spacious. The hotel has a lot of atmosphere which we like very much. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and you could also order additional. We had dinner several nights in the restaurant and only did we experience waiting for a drink and when I asked about I got immediately with an apology and it was complimentary too - so no complaints here at all. The hotel is very dog friendly and you even sit and est breakfast/dinner in dog friendly areas. Behind the hotel is a space where you can walk him, but we chose to take our fog outside. There is enough parking but when the hotel has an event it can get very full. All in all we felt very well looked after with friendly staff. A clear recommendation.

If you are looking for somewhere to relax and feel pampered, this is definitely the place. The Italian influenced setting, the staff, the food all top notch. I want say a huge thank you to both Alex at the front desk and Alex the food and beverage manager who made my husband's 40th even more special. Our porter Jonathan was also very knowledgeable and hardworking. I would definitely be returning for a longer stay.
