The pepper club hotel exceeded our expectations. From the warm hospitality of the staff to the attention to detail. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. It is located in the heart of Cape Town and offers free shuttle to the V&A and Camps bay. The breakfast was amazing, it has variety and you can also request for eggs Benedict. It has a gym and spa. The hotel is well maintained and very clean, the staff cleans the room twice a day.
Personally, I think this is a good hotel. Include small gym, swimming pool, SPA center. Room: Clean and the view for Table Mountain is very good. King bed room with big indoor area. Include mini refrigerator & microwave oven Breakfast: Good not not luxurious. Lobby: Small. Check in time: after 12:00pm.... Environment: A lot of restaurant & bars along the street. Almost local people, not dared to go into in the evening. Loud noisy/music background in the evening...
To say that our stay at this hotel was horribly disappointing is an understatement. I have stayed here several times even during Covid when hotels finally opened this was the first hotel I wanted to go to, I’ve always had the best room with best views (with photos and videos to prove)and that’s why it was my first choice of accommodation when I thought of a spontaneous travel to cpt just for my partner’s birthday dinner , hoping he would have the best experience I’ve always had but boy!was I wrong??!! First the reservation lady was trying to charge us a ridiculous amount for airport shuttle after I’ve spoken to another lady on the phone who specifically told me a certain amount and which was why I sent an email requesting a booking. I felt like Marlene was trying to pull a fast one on me as her stories about the shuttle charges were contradictory. And I decided not to go ahead with the booking. Being thrown into the WORST room that I didn’t even know existed in this hotel, somehow makes me wonder if it has something to do with the airport shuttle that I ended up not booking because wow!!! We got the worst room and the room I had requested upon my booking were all conveniently “occupied”,yet we arrived at the hotel at 11am and Marlene was well aware of our arrival time prior. We were allocated was seems like last of the last rooms they had as though we made last minute booking I wanted a refund so we could go to the next best hotel that would offer us views that would worth our 1 night stay in Cape Town but I was told that they’d speak to management. It’s 09:30am as I’m typing this and haven’t heard from “management “. To be honest, this time around the treatment and service I received from here was giving “sorry we’re no longer 5* hotel” don’t expect 5* service from us”. And this is definitely my last visit here and my friends and family will never hear me speak of this hotel ever again. We were to go for spa treatments at cayenne which I wanted to prepay for and something kept holding me back and THANK GOD I DIDNT because I’d rather go to an actual 5* hotel and have spa treats there than here at this horrible place. I can’t trust that our spa day would be any different in service so no thanks…
