Fantastic hotel and location is perfect. Quick walk to all amenities and the beach is even closer. The resort pool is beautiful and the Sandy beach was a winner with guests with young children. Rooms were clean and nice decor, well maintained. The whole resort is clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay here again.
Just arrived 16 June. First impressions great. Lovely pool area, room clean and modern. But the breakfast is awful. Everything is cold. One of the bain maries has no lid. Have you tried a cold stale hash brown, cold cooked mushrooms or tomato? Don't, you won't enjoy it. Smothering the hash brown with salt doesn't make it warm. No idea why every other item is cold. On day 2 we opted for a fresh omelette. No choice of filling, cheese, ham and spinach. We thought ok, at least it'll be hot. Yum. Day 3, we don't do omelette now, the chef said no more. The breakfast is a real let down for the resort. Peppers in Palm Cove is far superior. Sorry guys, the staff are lovely but up the game at breakfast.
We are 1/2 way thru a 10 night stay in a Spa Suite. It was the size of a cruise ship cabin , albeit a slightly larger bathroom. There were constantly doors slamming loudly and children squealing in the pool all day despite it not being school holidays in any state. Bright now there are 16 small children in the pool. Even our closed balcony doors can't drown them out. It is not relaxing. The room has no washing or cooking facilities and in our opinion was grossly over priced given the size and lack of facilities. When the people below us used their spa the loud hum of the motor and the splashing may as well have been in our room. The cafe menu never changes day in day out and people can sunbake on the pool edge right next to your plate. Awful. There are large apartments for much higher prices but we didn't need multiple bedrooms so we thought a 'suite' would be fine. It is not a suite. Pull up your socks Peppers. This is a 3 star family hotel and should be priced as such.
