Pergola Boutique Hotel

Overall an amazing experience! Spacious and super comfortable room. Very quiet. A couple minute walk from the train station and very convenient walking distance to old town. Super friendly staff! Unfortunately we missed breakfast but the pictures looked amazing. Air con worked great. Big fluffy towels and pillows. Super comfy bed. The property is gorgeous! Entrance has a locked gate that only hotel guests get the code to which is also nice. Super old town and home feel to it. Would absolutely stay again.

Unfortunately the hotel has handed over the control of their outdoor space to an upmarket restaurant who do not care about hotel guests. Our room overlooked the restaurant and was quite noisy. It was sold as "garden view" room! The only outdoor area for guests was quite often occupied by restaurant patrons and the furniture is quite tatty. The guest sitting room is lovely but not very functional. There are better choices in the same price range.

The location is central which was good, however we were very disappointed in our stay and left early (and they would not refund our unused nights). Not all rooms are as nice as the few that are shown on the website. For our room, the noise from the restaurant was disruptive up until the restaurant closed. I think there are other better options for accommodation.
