Perissia Hotel & Convention Center

Excellent hotel with delicious food, professional staff and peacefull location in the hearth of Cappadocia.

I stayed at Perissa Otel during my trip to Cappadocia, drawn in by the claim that it was a 5-star hotel. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of that standard. The room furnishings are outdated, with old-style amenities like a small TV and a vintage telephone. The bathroom is very small, and the toiletries provided are minimal. The air conditioner is noisy and clearly past its prime, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. On top of that, there are no power outlets near the bed – a basic convenience that’s sorely missing. The food was mediocre at best, and the cleanliness of the restaurant area was questionable, which only added to the overall sense of neglect. This might have been a 5-star hotel three or four decades ago, but today it barely deserves 2 stars – maybe 3, just because it still has a pool and a spa. In short: I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone expecting modern comfort or service quality that matches the star rating. You can find more beautiful places in Cappadocia!

The repairman is lousy. He can't solve the problem. The service is slow. We checked into a room where the air conditioner wasn't cool. The repairman came to check the air conditioner and said that in 5 minutes it would be cool, no problem. We asked back what should we do if it's not cool in 5 minutes? The repairman gave the same answer. And after that the air conditioner wasn't cool. The repairman should have been able to answer questions better or solve the problem better. We reported the problem of the air conditioner not being cool at 8:00 p.m. and by 9:30 p.m. we were still in a room where the air conditioner wasn't cool.
