Perla La Paz Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Stayed here 3 nights. The hotel staff is all very welcoming. The rooms are basic and clean. The location is great for walking everywhere. Rooms have AC and it works very well. They also have secure parking. Not a guarantee during carnaval but on most days they will have parking for you. I like the Hotel Perla. Don't come here if you want to be weighted on hand and foot. Come here if you want a nice room, parking, a very nice restaurant and perfect location.

Decent prices and great location. Weird layout for views but nice terrace with recliners looking at the bay and Boardwalk. Rooms are typical basic old Motel 6 style nothing fancy but clean with good AC. The doors are not insulated so minimal privacy for sound. Free breakfast is toast, butter, jelly, coffee and juice. Restaurant has a good menu though

The food isn't anything special. It's definitely geared towards tourists, which makes sense given the location. The service is attentive if not gruff. I never had to ask twice for anything but the staff seemed a bit put off by having to be there. This is completely contradictory to the rest of the places where I've been in Baja. Granted, I was in some very remote places, well off of MEX1. If time isn't a concern and you're willing to try authentic food, take a short walk a few streets away from the waterfront and find some street food which is more flavorful, cheaper, and the service is much more agreeable. Not to mention, it's a true experience and an opportunity to experience the culture.
