Spent 4 nights here and it was a very welcoming, clean and perfect stay. Myself and my partner drove to Budapest for our small get-away whilst daughter was with her grandparents and everything was beautiful. The staff really went above and beyond on making our stay fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect view and big window to look out to every morning on the busy street which we actually enjoyed this feature. We were in room 12 which I think is the deluxe room. Although this is not one of their largest rooms, in our opinion for a city break it was perfectly sized for a couple and had everything you needed. We only spent night time in our rooms so what more do you need? Very tasteful decor and mini fridge which cold drinks and refreshments restocked everyday. Food was unbelievable, I tried every day a different breakfast option, their coffee was creamy and tasty, fresh juice options and even an evening meal which I very much enjoyed. My partner is Hungarian so he was very happy with the service and food we had every day here. There is nags on the other reviews which seem very unfair in our opinion as the staff make everything clear about breakfast options, additional costs (if any) and if anything, for short stays the variety and quality was top notch. Thank you to those we encountered this week. Köszönöm Emma & András.
Beautiful hotel, but service and hospitality left a poor taste. We had a beautiful room, but the HVAC unit did not work. Even when we were just looking for air circulation and wanted the fan on, hot air blew out. When we tried talking with reception, we were given 3 different responses: 1) The unit is broken and needs to be repaired 2) maintenance will reset it 3) “its autumn so it won’t work” - I don’t see how seasonality won’t even allow the fan to turn on.. This led to us having to leave the window open, with loud continuous road noise throughout the night. The complementary water they leave in the fridge is a reusable glass bottle, and the plastic on the lid has mold on it - check before drinking. For a hotel that’s been reviewed by the Michelin hotel guide, it’s a shame that this is the level of hospitality they were able to provide. When checking out, I sought out some sort of reparation given that one of the amenities that were important to us was not available, but we were rudely shut down and dismissed by reception upon check out. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and in a wonderful location, but if service and hospitality is important to you, avoid.
We visited this restaurant attracted by its reputation, and at first, the staff was polite and welcoming. However, as time went on, the service became noticeably slow, and especially towards the end, the staff was surprisingly curt and unfriendly when we left. The quality of the food met our expectations, but unfortunately, the overall experience was overshadowed by the inconsistency in service, which left us with a rather disappointing impression. We hope this is something the restaurant can improve on, as the place has real potential to offer a much more complete dining experience.
