Rude receptionist - as she tried to rush me and said we have to pay now... I did but not happy with the attitude nearly let another customer go in front of me and I was only discussing for 30 seconds before she interrupted.

Really nice place, good golf courses, greens tricky. Don't hire golf clubs, first time on first tee hit a ball and the head broke. Even though we all watch the driver who delivered the clubs through them from the van, they charged us £60.

During a ‘WEBSITE2025’ promo, I booked a 2 bed apartment with a specific apartment number “302B’ which was described on the website as “recently renovated” with accompanying pictures. Upon arrival on April 6, your receptionist told us that unit 302B had been occupied and we were assigned another apartment. She told me it was the responsibility of the head office to assign the room! I told her I wanted a renovated apartment and she asked me to check the unit first. We were horrified by what we saw, the toilet was broken. The shower had years of dirt and stain. I took pictures and showed it to the receptionist. She told me to come back at 3 pm and would find another one for us. When we got back, the receptionist told us that it was Sunday and there were no cleaners to clean up the room and that even if we didn’t like the second apartment there’s nothing she could do. We were very tired after the flight from North America and we settled in the second apartment even though it was unacceptable by our standard (see pictures). The kitchen had so much grime and grease that we had to clean up the countertop and dishes in the morning. The worse was the bathroom, as the floor was all wet after taking a shower. At first, we blamed one another for making the bathroom wet. When we started brushing our teeth, the bathroom floor became wet again. We also noticed the baseboard of the master bathroom had signs of water damaged. The shower and morning routine resulted in super wet floors even though we were very careful. We used towels to dry the floor and just endured 3 nights of stay in a dirty and wet environment. When we returned the door key and checked out, we told the receptionist about the floor and we thought water actually seeped from below the tiles. She said she would make a note. She also told us we could have come have to switch room again the next day. We were vacationing with plans to play golf and sightseeing . We didn’t have time to go back and forth to the room to pack and unpack. Also, the receptionist was clear about the fact that not much could be done when we were offered the second apartment. It is a pity that Pestana mismanaged the units at Carvoeiro. The exterior of the apartment buildings and the landscaping were very pleasant. We even played one round of golf at Gramacho Golf which was well maintained.
