Pestana Dom João II

the staff was very friendly! we had life music every evening and the people at the bar were super nice! the room was always clean and the buffet was always different and really good! the buffet was always looking good and variated from day to day. the pool was nice and the beach was less than one minute per food.

Warm friendly welcome. All staff are hard working, friendly and kind. Hotel is a great location. Beautiful beach. Garden areas are pretty. Very relax vibe every where. Pool great and easy to get loungers. Pool bar staff and beach bar staff are very friendly and great at their jobs. We had a great view from our room. Amazing views and listening to the sea is magical. Room was good but a few issues. Pillows lumpy and not comfortable, ants in our room. Shower doesn’t drain correctly and floods the floor. No where to put your toiletries in the shower . Air conditioning not working correctly. Lack of storage for a family . We would have liked coffee& tea in our room. Water would have been nice on arrival. Overall we loved our stay and would recommend to friends and family. Thank you for amazing holiday , we sad to go home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were well cleaned every day. There was a wide range of food available at every meal and the location was perfect; close to the beach, a pleasant walk to the nearby fishing village and several tours available. We did feel the bathrooms needed updating and we would have liked to have seen an entertainer on more evenings - though we enjoyed those that we did see.
