We stayed 4 days at the Pestana Porto Santo All inclusive hotel. The staff was all beyond helpful and kind, making sure we would get the best possible experience. The location of the hotel is perfect, with the beach within walking distance and indoor pools for the days when the weather is a bit colder. The gym and spa are also a great plus. The food is average but the fact that there is something to eat & drink available all day long pays off. The kids loved it here, especially the kids club team that made sure there were plenty of fun activities all day long. Especially Felícia and Marta were very enthusiastic and made sure my kids had the best time.

Visiting end of May. Rooms: we've had room in villa nr 6 , it was spacious with big balcony, air con was working , big enough bathroom. It was good for family of three (with 2yo) Service: good , attentive, no issues at all. Location : next to the beautiful beach, haven't really explored what's outside of the hotel. It takes 6 minutes by taxi from the ferry to the hotel. Great value for all inclusive. Will definitely come back.

I went to this hotel at the beginning of June with my wife and some friends. Overall very good location, very poor service for a 5* hotel. The good things: -The infrastructure of the hotel is very good. It’s very ample, rooms are big, there’s a lot of space and lots of pools. There’s also different amenities like a paper shop and ATM -The hotel connects directly to the beach. -There’s a lot of activities for adults and children. The bad things: -The main restaurant is small for so many people. It got really crowded. Food quality is good, unless variety is bad for an all inclusive restaurant. Food takes a lot of time to be replenished. On the brazilian themed dinner, picanha was out of stock in the middle of the dinner slot. -There is very little amount of healthy food offered at the pool bar. Lots of greasy food, some cakes and limited amount of fruits. -There are no standards for drink making. Depending on the bartender, drinks were made in a completely different way. -My friends rooms were not cleaned in some days. -Rooms are not properly cleaned. I have put my hand on the bathroom mirror on my first day and it was still there when I left 8 nights later. -There are not enough baby chairs for all the babies. My friends have to wait a lot of time in more than 1 occasion. -There are very big queues on the beach bar because there’s only one person serving at any given time. -My friends had to wait for 20 minutes to get their beach towel exchanged, although they went to the spa on the allotted times. -A lot of the staff doesn’t speak Portuguese and that is not acceptable for a resort in Portugal. -Overall, the service is the big letdown for this hotel. A lot of rude and not experienced staff. This cannot happen on a 5* hotel. It’s good value for money, but the five stars are misleading. Well, Pestana has the monopoly of the island, there are only a handful of hotels in the island, so they don’t really care about providing a good service because people will go there regardless…
