Pestana Rio Atlantica

Great location and friendly service – a pleasant stay! I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July 2025. The location is excellent – right across the street from Copacabana Beach and just a short walk from a popular shopping street. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. The rooms are spacious, although a bit worn and could use some renovation. Still, they were clean and comfortable. One of the highlights is the rooftop – there’s a pool, bar, sun loungers, and even a restaurant with great views. There’s also a gym available for guests. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Simply loved my stay at Pestana right on Copacabana Beach! The location couldn't be more perfect for enjoying everything the area has to offer. The hotel was wonderful, and honestly, the rooftop bar was a total game-changer. Those panoramic views are unforgettable! It truly made my trip extra special. Highly recommend!!! ☀️

Let me start with the good things. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is great. And the rooftop is probably the best part of the hotel. Now the not so great. The rooms on the website do NOT match the hotel. The bathroom was significantly dirty ( black mold ) everywhere in the shower. The walls were dirty , the pillows are super lumpy. Overall super underwhelming. The breakfast was supposed to be at 6am but would start at 6:30 everyday. Food was quite lacking (runny eggs, not a lot of options if you don’t eat pork). Overall the hotel is fine it just should not be labelled a 4 star. It is 3 at best.
