Pestana Rua Augusta Historic Downtown Hotel

Loved my stay at Pestana Rua Augusta. I travel extensively for work and personal. As a Marriott Platinum member, I would like to say I wish we had more Pestana hotels in US. I loved my room and it was a big room. Truly appreciated the extra space. Room was extremely clean and much appreciated. Patricia was excellent and helped me get into room a bit early despite hotel having issues with technology. Room was quiet and I slept extremely well. Location was excellent. Had a bit of an incident with shower and I followed up with front desk staff to address. Overall, friendly staff and breakfast was also excellent. Highly recommend hotel. I would absolutely stay here again.

A wonderful time in this hotel. Everyone was extremely helpful and cordial at all times. Our room was spacious and quiet although we were in a very busy neighborhood. We loved to sit in the reception area every night. The bartender Douglas was the most professional and entertaining gentleman and he also speaks excellent French! We hope to be back soon!!!

We had a lovely stay at Pestana Rua Augusta, right in the heart of Lisbon. The hotel is modern, clean, and well-located—almost too well-located, depending on your travel style. It puts you right in the middle of the action, which is super convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and restaurants. But if you’re a light sleeper or prefer a quieter retreat, it might feel a bit hectic at times. The room we stayed in was definitely on the smaller side, but it had everything we needed—smart layout, comfy bed, and a good shower. The cleaning was solid but not perfect—I’d give it a 7/10. Nothing major, just small details that could’ve been better. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional, and I even saw them handle a very difficult guest with so much patience and kindness. That kind of calm, respectful service goes a long way. We had a room facing the walkway, which came with some background music from the street performers—La Vie en Rose played what felt like a hundred times. But honestly? It added to the vibe. It felt very Lisbon, in a romantic, lively kind of way. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to be in the middle of it all. Personally, I think next time we’d choose a hotel a little farther away from the main pedestrian area—still within walking distance, but with a bit more breathing room. That said, Pestana Rua Augusta was a great home base and made our trip really enjoyable.
