Food-wise, the breakfast buffet was quite good. A decent spread of hot and cold options, pastries, fruits, and good coffee. It was a pleasant start to the day. I had dinner at the Mourisco restaurant a couple of times, which serves traditional Portuguese dishes, and it was tasty, though perhaps not wildly adventurous. The bar was nice for a relaxed evening drink. But honestly, what really stood out was the staff. From the moment I checked in, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making my stay enjoyable. They were quick to offer recommendations for things to do in Sintra, and any requests I had were met with a smile and efficiency. That personal touch really makes a difference.

Overall, my stay at the hotel was enjoyable, and there are numerous positives that deserve recognition — from the cleanliness and ambiance to the professionalism of the staff. However, there are a few key issues that impacted my experience: 1. Lack of Basic Amenities: Some essential in-room items were missing, such as a fabric slipper and an electric kettle for making tea — amenities that are typically provided in hotels of the same or even lower star ratings. 2. Limited Dinner Buffet Options: The open buffet for dinner was underwhelming. As someone who expects a variety of protein options — such as chicken, beef, and fish — I was disappointed to find only fish available. A more balanced offering would have significantly improved the dining experience. 3. Non-functional Air Conditioning: Unfortunately, the air conditioner in the room was not working, which made the stay uncomfortable, especially considering the warm weather. I sincerely hope the management takes these observations into account, as addressing them would greatly enhance the guest experience in the future.

We went with a large group for a soccer tournament. I didn't personally have any issues, other than saying that it has A/C is kind of a joke. It's just outside air coming from the vent. We slept with the balcony door open because it cools down quite a bit at night so it felt great. The food was decent, great selection for both breakfast and dinner. The service was great there. However, several of the people who went with me had terrible rooms, no working toilet, no A/C, doors coming off hinges, and more. We're used to great customer service in the States, NOT here. It's like they're doing you a favor....
