We have been coming here for 13 years. Love Pestana Village. Staff are friendly and will try to accommodate any reasonable request. Pool and gardens are clean, tidy and well looked after.
An excellent resort! Great design, varied and high quality services, friendly staff, wonderful natural environment. Simply fantastic, I am totally satisfied!
The price and 4 star rating do not reflect reality. The hotel is outdated. Rooms are even worse. The outdoor resort is pleasant. Food is decent, breakfast ok, dinner a bit confusing. They don't tell you at the dinner buffet that the drinks are not included. They only ask you what you would like to drink without giving you the menu. The next day at breakfast they quickly handed me the ticket for the yesterday drinks, before giving us a table. I was disappointed to see that the prices are higher than other restaurants outside and that they charge a 10% fee. I payed 15euros for 2 glasses of wine and 1 glass of orange juice + 1.5euros in tax. We stayed in Funchal at 4 hotels. This ranks 4th.
