Pet & Spa Hotel Izukogen

Great resort on the Izu peninsula for a few days R&R. The spa services are next level relaxing, and the room and views are stunning. My room had its own onsen, so I could just relax in the water, reading a book and enjoying the view. The Japanese restaurant (coastline) makes a great Kaiseki and also Shabu Shabu. I didn't try the western restaurant while I was there. A few staff speak English, but even if they didn't, don't let that stop you from going. The nearby town is accessible by shuttle bus, but other than the beach, a small alligator zoo, and a few nice izakaya, there's not a lot to see/do there.
