My wife and I went for lunch. We went for lunch here last year and decided to return again. We had the same server as last year. Angela was excellent. My wife ordered and Caesar salad and I had the salad wedge with grilled chicken. We also had a bruschetta appetizer and drinks. The food took a while but it was worth it. Everything was very good.
I recently enjoyed another memorable stay at this quaint and luxurious inn. Relatives from four states celebrated a family reunion with our mom of 96 years of age, who is a local resident and often enjoys the comfort and hospitality of the inn for lunches and events. We were fortunate to stay in the newly constructed Stone Cottage where the rooms are spacious and quiet. Along with an outdoor fireplace and in room stocked refrigerators, the families with younger children could relax in comfort and enjoy the historic ambiance. We all appreciated the attention to detail of all the meals and consideration for seating for young and older needs. Alley who assisted with the booking of the meals and rooms even provided a way to reach her during off hours, should any needs arise. We look forward to future visits and highly recommend Peter Allen Inn !
My brother and I had just finished hours of hard work in the hot Ohio sun and wanted to have a drink or two. Living in Gustavus, Ohio doesn’t leave one many choices for a place to get drinks. So, we headed to Peter Allen Inn. There was one problem…our attire was more appropriate for cleaning out a barn than for visiting a place as clean and beautiful as the PAI! After a quick call to ensure that we would not be inappropriately dressed (and we were very much welcomed over the phone), we headed over. The welcome tone that I received over the phone, was reciprocated when we arrived-thank you Peter Allen Inn! We sat at the bar and enjoyed our drinks (and the company of our charming bar tender) and cooled off. Thank you Peter Allen Inn for the great drinks and atmosphere, and for welcoming two worn and weary (and dressed as such) thirsty farm boys!
