Pethers Rainforest Retreat

Came here for a friend's wedding, and I was thoroughly impressed! The venue is stunning, with breathtaking views of the beautiful rainforest. Not to mention that the lodge itself is very charming as well, with a nice central fireplace feature and large glass windows that let you take in the views throughout the night. But the best part of the experience is by far the staff. They are lovely, talented, diligent and just authentic people. Truly a great team who are working their hardest to make sure your experience is as wonderful as it could be!

Wow. This was a fantastic place to stay. Beautiful setting and very luxurious. I loved it. Breakfast was brought to us which was nice. We came Monday to Wednesday so the main lodge wasn't open for anything other than reception - not even drinks. The main lodge looked stunning and would have loved to have had access to even a coffee and a biscuit, sure it would have been really nice.

ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL!!! From the moment we arrived and saw our tranquil, gorgeously appointed treehouse with complimentary bubbles and chocolate, to the delicious breakfast basket of smashed avo on home baked bread, juice and warm fruit danishes - we were transported to another world! Private, beautifully appointed and furnished treehouses (our elderly parents had the equally beautiful accessible ‘treehouse’), with indoor spa baths that still felt like you were in the treetops amidst the birds! Every single staff member was gracious, hospitable and welcoming: Paul the Manager, Bibiana in Reception through to Leo working to keep the beautiful environment natural, yet immaculately tended. However, the ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHT for our entire family was Chef Alex and his talented team, who provided us with one of the finest dining experiences that anyone in our party of sixteen had EVER had! Every single mouthful was amazing - nothing disappointed - which was exceptional, particularly for those party members who had significant dietary restrictions (and who often feel like their meals are ‘less than’) - NOT SO on Chef Alex’s watch! He clearly prides himself on providing the most outstanding culinary experience for every single guest - and he frankly exceeded even his own extremely high standards with our meals! If I could rate him and his team at more than five stars - I seriously would. Paul from Pethers Rainforest Retreat has curated an exceptional team to lavish each and every one of their guests in a luxuriously high quality experience - and it is worth every cent!
