Lovely boutique in the heart of Sevilla. The location is perfect in a quiet and narrow street, rooms are basic but comfortable, and service is friendly and efficient. The breakfast is great with a variety of fruit, cereals, fresh breads, cheese, eggs, vegetables and cold cuts, as well as coffee, tea, and juices.
Arrived early and staff were able to hold our bags in the office so we could go exploring. Lovely and clean with massive comfortable bed. Great selection of food for breakfast, which ran till 11 so we could lay in. Wonderful view from the roof terrace of the cathedral, well would have been better without the crane but that’s not the hotels fault. Free tea and coffee in the afternoon / evening and filtered water all day. Staff called a taxi (via a push button) when we left and it arrived within 15 minutes. Note a taxi is a fixed price just under €30 to/from the airport. The only thing missing is a bar, but there are lots around to choose from.
Three stars because in my opinion this hotel was only up to a 3 star standard and not 4. While the room was of adequate size its decor was dark, dated, worn and lacked character. The bed while sold as a King was just two separate bases and mattresses pushed together under King sized sheets. Any movement causes the bases to slip and any attempt to lie in the center would cause you to sink in-between. The base also had sharp hardwood corners which I've not seen on a bed base in years and were a painful encounter to the shin on a couple of occasions. The aircon was noisy and old fashioned though it worked and the TV was too ancient to accommodate casting. The breakfast spread was ok but the available space was not sufficient for demand, when I was there at least for the first morning they had only one staff member to refresh the tables and there was a queue to get in. On a positive note the location is perfect for restaurants and the main attractions. I would also rate the service staff as attentive and exemplary.
