This is a review for a 7 night stay in one of the Superior rooms located away from the main body of the hotel at the beginning of June. Reception is 24hr manned. We had looked at the hotel using Google to get an idea of where we were staying and the local facilities however the satellite images are out of date and the hotel is now significantly bigger with more rooms (99 in total) and a bigger pool, so don’t trust everything you see on google. It’s clear from our visit that there has been a lot of investment in the hotel which has paid off. We spent most of our stay next to the pool and didn’t venture far away from the hotel as all we wanted to do was chill. That was definitely achieved, the atmosphere here was perfect for that. Despite having many guests, the hotel was still quiet and relaxed. The children that were there were all well behaved and we hardly noticed them. Top of our list though was how friendly all the staff were, nothing too difficult for them and they really welcomed you there. We got to know most of them by name and though I won’t use their names in this review, I’d like to thank them all for a wonderful holiday. Local shops are good for holiday gifts but also the stuff you forget to bring. Bottled water is really cheap, €1.60 for 8 x 1ltr bottles. The pool never gets busy, plenty of sun loungers and towels are free. The lifeguard looks after the towels for you and the pool barman, a fine gent, will keep you refreshed with cocktails and beer. We will be going back next year which is a testament to how much we enjoyed the hotels hospitality.

I stayed at Petousis Hotel & Suites in Heraklion, Crete for a week and had a very pleasant experience. The highlight of the stay was definitely the staff — they were incredibly kind and attentive. Every time I left the table to get a new plate, my old one was already cleared by the time I got back. The service was fast, and the overall atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness. The room was generally clean, though there were a few minor spots that could’ve been better, but nothing that bothered me. Housekeeping cleaned daily, and breakfast had small variations each day, which kept things interesting without straying from comfort food. The location is great if you’re planning a relaxing beach holiday — the beach is just a 4-minute walk away, and there’s a nearby market where you can grab snacks or fruit easily. There’s even a cinema close by, which was a nice bonus! The pool area was enjoyable too. The adult pool is 1.40m deep, and there’s a jacuzzi that I absolutely loved. One small downside was the bathroom window — it’s a bit tricky to open unless you’re tall. A longer handle or an adjustment would be helpful. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Petousis Hotel & Suites for a chill beach vacation — great for tanning, lounging, and short walks. If you’re someone who wants to explore the island a lot or stay centrally located, you might want to consider a different spot. But for beach vibes and relaxation, this place is perfect. Another bonus is the fact that they sometimes perform on the stage by the bar outside, it’s sooo nice to sit outside on the sunbeds whilst they’re singing or playing the saxophone.

Staying here at the hotel now June 29th im room 101 and a very mixed Review. Cannot fault the staff and how clean everything is, very well kept and maintained. First couple of days have been lovely, able to get sun loungers around the pool, service been great and now the place is over run by kids, they have even been standing on my wife's lounger whilst being laid on it to get to the parents on the lounger next to hers. There are a number of swim up rooms that are empty (we've asked and checked this) as we've considered paying to get away from this carnage but they are trying to charge and extra €215 a night - Now on the basis I've already paid for a Junior Suite (Which is excellent and a great location) to pay €215 a day to have a little pool is absolutely ridiculous. It can sit there empty with no income or let it go for say €100 a night - is that not better business sense?!?!?! as right now I'd pay the €100. I'd also suggest that most of the people currently around the pools with the kids are maybe not even staying at the hotel, I could be wrong but anyone staying the hotel gets hotel pool towels which at least 50% don't have and have brought their own. Such a shame, great staff and the refurbishment of the hotel is lovely but this has really painted a different picture of how this started out. I'd just like to finish off with the Life Guard running around and doing a great job, constantly got his eyes on everything going on and the bar staff have all been excellent. Yes we've had a minor upset for the single day with the kids but wouldn't put us off returning.
