Peñasco del Sol

Completely loved the weekend stay here. Checking in was easy, didn’t have any issues. We upgraded to a master suite, got complementary breakfast. We receive a wristlet. The room was clean, had a great fan above the bed, the mattress was super comfortable, 2 TV’s, living room, kitchen was clean & roomy. The restaurant in the lobby is pretty good. We had the complementary breakfast with coffee. You are able to order extra drinks/food at additional charge & food was good. The prices are more so American. All the servers are friendly & have great recommendations. Thankfully we came before semana santa, it wasn’t crowded or noisy. Parking is $15 a night but parking on the street is free, it wasn’t an issue since it’s a dead end street.

This hotel is one of my favorites it's walking distance to restaurants has pools and playa bonita beach is just a couple steps away. Rooms are clean and beach view is just amazing.

We stayed at peñasco del sol before and had a great experience. The last time we stayed here service was great and had a fun time at the pool bar. Monday and Tuesday was not available at the other resort we’re staying the rest of the week which is why we decided to give it another try. Things have changed and for the worse. Now if you want to park at the hotels parking lot you have to pay $15 dollars a day for valet parking even if it’s empty or you can park a block away for free. That pool bar I enjoyed last time is not even open. You can’t bring any outside alcohol which is understandable but I’ve been at the pool for 2 hours and not a single server I can order from has come. My wife went inside and asked for service, they were supposed to send someone an hour ago and still waiting. I understand if it’s not busy enough to open the outside bar or the takito snack bar but it’s something they should inform you of before making a reservation. Can’t wait to leave to the other resort, safe to say we won’t be staying here again.
