Pros: Stunningly picturesque geography. We had a superior deluxe villa with an ocean view and I can confidently say that we never grew tired of looking at the beautiful landscape. Our villa was located close to the main office, so we had easy access to all amenities, cannot speak on the complaint that others have raised about using the shuttle system to reach their rooms. The AC blows cold, will have the bedroom ice cold. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful with renting kayaks and snorkeling as well as setting up a half day longboat tour. As a sidenote, they offered multiple longboat tour options. The one we chose was a four hour private tour that took us to walk around Maya Bay, ride past the Viking Caves, and swim in Phi Phi Leh Lagoon. The total cost was 1800 Baht for the boat. There is a minimart on side full of fun snacks, drinks, and toiletries. Food in the free breakfast buffet was good, dinner in their restaurant was great on occasions. Guests are also able to walk down the beach to a few other restaurants and bars. Cons: This location is highly isolated on the northern tip of the island. We stayed three nights, and felt as though we had seen everything it could offer and were ready to leave. Additionally, prices are a bit higher here as businesses are aware of the relative isolation. Bathroom occasionally smells strongly of sewage.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The resort is pleasant, with snorkeling equipment and kayaks available to rent inexpensively. Our mountain view room had a good view of the sunset too. I only wish the beds were softer and that it wasn't so inconvenient to travel to the main city on the island... You are fairly isolated, it takes a long time for the boats to arrive and go... You might be stuck at the docks for over an hour, like we were. However, if you are looking for peace and quiet though, and just want to chill on the beach, this is a good option.

My husband and I came here for 5 days for a nice vacation. The hotel was a bit out of our budget but we splurged and decided to treat ourselves. The room we selected was the “mountain view” room. Will share all the details about our experience. Arrival: the resort is half an hour from the main pier. We did NOT know this. We were told to wait by the pier for a few hours and take a shared boat for 400 bhat, or pay 1500 to go to the resort by a private longboat. Which was very weird start. Note to the hotel: A simple email or whatsapp message mentioning the details on how to reach or having boats available there for your customers will help Check-in: when we reached, as it was a long boat and we were very unprepared for the journey all our clothes got wet in get in and out of the boat. The checkin experience was overall smooth. Got welcome drinks and a nice wet towel. Note to hotel: a small plank to get up and down the long boat will be helpful Rooms: once we reached our room we could see that the building is very old and NOT maintained well. The AC didn’t work (we waited 45 mins) the flush didn’t work (you could not use the flush within 5 mins of using it once. We then requested a change of room. The second room also had the same problem. We decided to approach the desk and talk to the manager. We also considered upgrading our room because these rooms were not functional. They didn’t have any regular or even average ones. They only had rooms available that were 5-6k extra on top of what we already paid. We sat in the restaurant and had lunch while they tried to fix our room. The ac started working but the flush was a lost cause the entire duration of our stay. Note to hotel: literally keeping the room up to date with basic maintenance would be great. Also i was promised discounts for this discomfort but never got it lol. Also the rooms literally feel like the floor will fall apart especially in the bathroom please look into that for safety. Resort: the resort is built into a hill so there are a lot of ups and downs and the mountain view rooms are literally on a mountain. So you need the cart service. This service runs every half an hour so you need to plan your day around it. Experiences: the hotel staff does NOT know about any experiences and neither do they have the packages to actually see the island. We asked for the best places to snorkel and the staff told us around the hotel its best so when we went there to the island tour we were very unprepared with wrong clothing because we thought there is no snorkeling allowed there. Hint: its allowed and so much more beautiful around the other areas. Food: there are very limited options here. There are a few restaurants from other resorts. And all these places are EXPENSIVE. Per meal for my husband and i costed 1000-1500 bhat in these restaurants Note to hotel: there isn’t much variety in food for vegetarians or vegans (which is what my husband and i prefer to be) but there were limited options so we had to compromise. Customer service: i thought i was being treated badly for being brown skinned when in reality their staff is just bad Views: the only saving grace of this place are the views. The vies from every corner of the island are absolutely breathtaking and wonderful. Overall: the place is beautiful but the people of this resort aren’t. The resorts around this one are so much more better with great hospitality. That is actually how i realised that the behaviour is bad of just that resort. My suggestion would be to book the resorts around and enjoy the same views Note to hotel: as this was my longest stay in thailand its sad to say that this experience really gave my entire trip a bad taste. I spent a lot of time, effort and money to come to your country and experience the culture. Charging exorbitant prices and giving bad behaviour/hospitality in return will not encourage tourism. Hope my rant helps someone save their vacation because i couldn’t save mine. Attaching pictures of views because they are so wonderful.
