Philoxenia Hotel

This is a very pleasant family hotel. It is built like small apartment blocks and is ideal for people with young children. There are three pools, two of which are perfect for kids. The rooms are new, clean, and tidied daily. We stayed in the Olive Suites, which are luxurious, spacious, modern, and spotless. They have their own private garden. The mattress was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. The food, according to our taste, was very good. For a restaurant of this level, the staff had clearly put in a lot of effort. There were themed dinner nights, such as Japanese, Chinese, and Korean cuisine – everything was very tasty and freshly prepared. The service is good, and the waiters are polite, especially those who speak English. The food is really good, but if you're used to Michelin-starred restaurants, don’t expect miracles. There is also an evening entertainment program with an animator, including mini disco for kids, bingo nights, and other events. During the day, there are activities such as aqua gym sessions in the pool, which add a fun and lively touch to the experience. The beach is nice – shallow with clean water. The sandy area is a bit narrow, but there’s plenty of space in the water for everyone. It’s a 5-minute walk down the stairs, or you can take a slightly longer path through the forest, which takes about 10 minutes. There are beach bars where you can use sunbeds and umbrellas for free if you order drinks or food. Psakoudia is a charming little village – generally quiet, with a small center with restaurants offering delicious and affordable meals. At the end of the village, there’s a large two-story supermarket with groceries and household goods. It might feel a bit boring for teenagers and young people, but we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Despite the many families with small children, it’s still calm and relaxing.

Overall the hotel was OK, nothing more than that! For sure not 4 * The room ( block E) Kind of renovated, but still the bathroom needs to be improved. We traveled with our 8 months old baby and a few times we didn't had warm water, which is essential for us! Too hot if you do not turn on the AC, but of course we couldn't keep it on all time because of the baby! Too loud, even though we had a garden view room, you can hear everything from out ( especially kids playing around), also the cars from the main street. The food & service ( half board) In general the food was OK, buffet style and a lot of options for everyone's tastes. Regarding the service, most of the waitresses/ waitress were friendly. Everyone was dedicated to do one job and that's all they were doing. Clearly you can see, either they were tired, serving all day or unsatisfied! I want to mention two of their waitresses, which were RUDE ( IOANA - SHORT RED HEAR OLD WOMAN & ANOTHER ONE. WHICH I COULDN'T GET HER NAME - TALL, BLOND BLUE EYES, DARK SKIN), even though they have a lots of families with babies, the breakfast/dinning area was not baby friendly, so a few times we were told to move the stroller because they don't have where to walk! For sure we will not be back!

Hotel Review – Poor Service and Disappointing Restaurant I stayed at this hotel recently and was very disappointed with the overall experience. The service was terrible — the staff were unprofessional, unhelpful, and often rude. I had to wait far too long to check in, and when I asked for assistance, I was either ignored or spoken to in an unfriendly manner. The front desk was disorganized, and it felt like the staff had no interest in the guests' comfort. The hotel restaurant was also a huge letdown. It only has a capacity of about 40 people, which means long waits during peak times. Even worse, the food was bland and lacked flavor. I expected much more in terms of both variety and quality.
