Phnom Penh Katari Hotel

I stayed in this hotel during my trip to Cambodia on February and I must say the hotel's location is good as it's walking distance to restaurants and historical sites. The room was comfortable for me as a solo traveler and the breakfast served was delicious. I really enjoyed the fresh soup noodles (Pho) which was made upon ordering. The rooftop bar was great and I had ordered a beer and a handmade pizza. The price was good and the pizza tasted delicious. I will stay here again if I visit Phnom Penh in future.

Location is great with tons of restaurants and coffee shops around. The pool is a bit chilly but nice on a sweltering hot day. The gym is quite good for a hotel gym (two treadmills, 2 bikes, cable machine, bench and free weights) all you needed for a quick workout. The hotel rooftop bar was fantastic! The drinks are cheap and the food is quite tasty. The margarita is very good! It’s never busy and was a great spot to wind down in the evening.

Cheap option if you need but quite dated and basic things don’t all work that well unfortunately eg bath and shower, weak wifi, had to chase up for toiletries etc. Friendly staff. Great rooftop bar with cheap drinks. Nice little pool.
